Local Community

Throughout its history the Aspen Community Church has been a church for the community of Aspen, almost an ex-officio community center. AA and NA twelve-step meetings happen daily in the early morning, noon, or evening. Joanne Connington has a loyal following for her yoga class on the third Friday and Saturday morning of each month. A Latino congregation meets on Wednesday and Sunday evenings at 7 p.m. in the Sanctuary. The sanctuary is home to piano lessons many afternoons, and children enjoy music education in both the sanctuary and fellowship hall.

Our sanctuary is one of the finest music venues in Aspen. During the summer months during the Aspen Music Festival and School, we host student recitals at noon on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday that are free to the public. At other times music students, faculty, or local music teachers use the sanctuary for recitals. Our rental rates are very reasonable and we invite you to inquire about using our space for your recital, reception, meeting, or other special event. Contact us at office@aspencommunitychurch.com or call us at 970-925-1571.

With regard to other community outreach, the Aspen Community Church participates in emergency care for those in need as a partner with other county agencies. We support the Aspen Homeless Shelter during the winter months and take our turn in hosting the shelter as needed. This is all to say that hospitality and care for the community are important.
